Snow in Late March?

Yes, it seems like high time for us to be enjoying warmer days, but there is a long history of bad weather in Ohio. Check out our online exhibit Severe Weather in Ohio to learn more about floods, tornadoes, heat waves and blizzards that have hit our state.

This time in 1913 Ohio was recovering from a statewide flood of disastrous proportions that struck March 23-27. It has been called “Ohio’s greatest weather disaster.” Over 400 people died and thousands of homes were damaged. Dayton was particularly had hit.
