Lecture: In search of the earliest Americans

The Columbus Rock & Mineral Society is sponsoring a presentation by Jerry McDonald titled “In search of the earliest Americans: A review of Pre-Clovis studies in North America.”

When did humans first reach North America, by what route(s), and what were they doing once they were here?

This talk, presented by the senior investigator of one of the most complex early-human sites in the U.S., will review the evidence and interpretations that address these three questions, which are among the most fundamental in American archaeology.

The meeting is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 27 at the Electrical Union Meeting Hall located at 947 Goodale Blvd. in Grandview. The building is on the south side of Goodale Blvd. at the intersection of Northwest Blvd. The entrance drive is on the east side of the building. Park behind thebuilding and enter at the glass doors. The meeting room is on the second floor.
