Here are a few items from the Ohio Historical Society’s collections that may inspire you.
Ohio women were heavily involved in the campaign for women’s suffrage. This postcard postmarked from 1915 proudly proclaims their rallying cry.
In 1920 Florence Harding became the first First Lady to vote in a Presidential election. We assume that she voted for her husband, Warren G. Harding.
In 1971 the 26th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution granting 18 year olds the right to vote. In 1972 they voted in their first Presidential election.








It was such a short time ago that women started to get their rights, we have come along way in that 100 years but still have further to go.
