See Two Hundred Years of Political Memorabilia on a “Sneak Peek” Tour of the Archives Stacks.
Ohio politics are colorful and our state has long had a role on the national political stage. This tour will take you to rarely visited nooks in our archives stacks to see over 200 years of political memorabilia and documents with Tom Rieder, one of our senior archivists and a self-described “political junkie.” You’ll see campaign materials like election posters for Ohio presidents, but also evidence of how elections are run and democracy is conducted. Audiovisual curator Lisa Wood will show you photographs and newsreels documenting the campaign and presidency of Warren G. Harding.
Date Saturday, September 22
Time 1:30-4 PM
Location Ohio History Center at I-71 and 17th Avenue in Columbus
The special tour, $99, is limited to 12 people. To register, click here or call 800.686.1541.
