The Ohio Historical Society is committed to preserving the history of the state of Ohio through objects, manuscripts, printed materials, photographs/videos, and other forms of records. Many, however, forget that history can happen in our their lifetime.
So what does this mean for us? Our 20th century collections, particularly following WWII, are limited. We would love to change this and expand our mid to late 2oth century collections. Clothing, technology, art, toys, furnishings, letters, photographs, sewing patterns, kitchen equipment… the possibilities are endless! If you are interested in donating to OHS please contact us at: Collections@ohiohistory.org
Speaking of the 20th century on display, we are having an 80s themed event at the Ohio History Center.
Take a trip back to the 1980s during our first Way Back Wednesday. Come dressed for the decade and enjoy music, dancing, food, cash bar, video games and even a DeLorean!
The entire Ohio History Center will be filled with 1980s themed events. Learn the ‘Thriller’ dance and try to win some 1980s trivia.
Admission $12. Cash bar. See our Facebook event for more details.
