See the new photography exhibit, Vistas and Visions in the third floor lobby of the Ohio Historical Center. These stunning images document the work force in some of Ohio’s most important 20th century industries. Companies represented in the exhibit include:
*Buckeye Steel Castings Company, makers of malleable iron castings in Columbus
*Jeffrey Manufacturing Company, makers of mining equipment and industrial chain in Columbus
*Knowles, Taylor and Knowles, makers of pottery in East Liverpool
*Youngstown Sheet and Tube, formerly one of the world’s largest steel manufacturers

Reconstructed charcoal-fired iron blast furnace with original stack, typical of those operating in southeastern Ohio’s Hanging Rock Iron Region more than a century ago.
Museum of Ceramics in East Liverpool
Houses an extensive collection of the products made in “America’s Crockery City.”
Indian Mill in Upper Sandusky
Mill building constructed in 1861 includes exhibits about the history of milling from prehistoric times to the present.
Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor
Exhibits show how steel is made and steelworkers and their families lived. Business records and photographs of Youngstown area companies are available in the archives.
