The latest documentary from Ken Burns and Florentine Films is about Prohibition. It is scheduled to air on PBS on October 2, 3 and 4. Ohio has a strong connection to the movement to ban consumption of alcholic beverages. The Women’s Temperance Crusade began in Hillsboro in the winter of 1873 and 1874. The influential Anti-Saloon League was head-quartered in Westerville from 1909 to 1973. Producers from Florentine Films used images from our photographic archives in the film.
