Congratulations to Brad Lepper, who received the Ohio Archaeological Council’s Public Awareness Award at their fall meeting on November 1, 2008. The Public Awareness Award recognizes an OAC member “who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of archaeology in Ohio by increasing the public’s understanding of archaeology.” Specifically, Brad’s involvement with nominating significant Hopewell sites to the World Heritage List and his regular articles on archaeology published in the Columbus Dispatch were the basis for the honor.
